About Terre Haute Youth Ministry

Terre Haute Youth Ministry is dedicated to the life changing teachings of Jesus Christ through the guidance and sacraments of the five Catholic parishes of Terre Haute, Indiana. We are committed to providing a safe place built upon theology, prayer and a positive social atmosphere in which all teens of Terre Haute are invited to come and experience the amazing life Christ has to offer.

Youth Ministers

Augusta McMonigal - amcmonigal@terrehauteym.org

Hey all! I come from the land of ‘Minnesota nice’ where hot dishes get brought to every event and we pretend we’re NASCAR drivers in the snow. I have two younger brothers and a younger sister: Austin, Ashton, and Allura. My parents originally did not intend for all of us to have ‘A’ names but eventually they decided they couldn’t leave a kid out of the group! In 2014 I graduated from Franciscan University of Stuebenville with a degree in Theology and Catechetics with a concentration in Youth Ministry. As you spend time with me you will realize that I drink way too much coffee and Diet Coke, and I often have a really cheesy joke to tell. Fun fact: one time I was locked in a house with a 700-pound black bear!  I have been zip-lining through the jungles of Honduras, stuck on a train by myself to Croatia, and stood at the southernmost part Louisiana where the Mississippi meets the Gulf. I once wandered off the paved path in Fatima and crawled into the cave that the visionaries played in as children. My favorite saints include: Gianna, Ignatius of Antioch, Joseph, and Fulton Sheen

Hello everybody! While I’m from Terre Haute originally, I moved away when I was just three years old but now I’m back and here to stay! I am very excited to help the high school students here grow towards holiness and a deeper love of our Lord! I’ve lived in Indiana, Ohio, New York, and I’ve spent the last decade in Kentucky with my parents and my younger brother Charlie. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2018 with majors in International Affairs, Chinese Language, and Religion. My favorite Saints include: John Paul, Therese of Lisieux, Faustina, Augustine, and Gemma Galgani.
