It has been the most-happening year for ONEOQ. In Q1, we were accepted into a gBeta Program on Autonomous Vehicles and Future of the Roads by gener8or. We pitched to more than 10 investors and got “nexted” with two of them, including BMW i Ventures. We also competed in the Global Automotive and Mobility Innovation Challenge (GAMIC 2022) and landed as a semi-finalist. In Q2, we won the regional pitch competition by Elevate Ventures for an amount of $20,000 pre-seed investment as convertible notes. We used the investment funds for fabrication of four nano-illumination devices as our alpha prototype, which made us one step closer to our MVP. We were a finalist of the Statewide pitch competition by Elevate Ventures as well. We joined Bamboo in Detroit, MI and Accelerator in Windsor, ON to improve our go-to-market strategy, network and learn about major suppliers in the mobility industry. In Q3, we traveled to Michigan to be part of Detroit Autoshow in the Automobili-D section along with 80 other startups. Among many visitors to our table at the show, we met with engineers from North America Lighting and Mobis and presented our current product concept to them as two of the biggest suppliers of automotive lighting in the world. In Q4, we were accepted into a Techstars program called Mobility in Harmony (MIH), where we engaged with 20 other startups in the EV and eMobility world. The MIH demo day in Taipei, Taiwan was a great opportunity to present our technology to more than 2000 participants of the event.
Moving forward, we continue to work toward our MVP nano-illumination products for drones and electric vehicles. We believe that weight reduction and plastic elimination are two of the major benefits of our products. Every gram of weight matters when it comes to drone applications. In 2023, we will focus on integrating our lidar technology into our nano-illumination products which could provide an additional value proposition to the market. That means, a single product can be used for both illumination and navigation. We plan to take advantage of small business seed funds from government agencies to support our R&D and also stay active on raising funds for a seed round.
As the CEO of ONEQ, I would like to thank everyone who made an impact on our journey in 2022.
