Chamber City Update: COVID-19 Q&A with Mayor Duke Bennett Full Recap and Coverage
“Your safety and comfort always come first.
At Union and Regional Hospitals, patient safety and comfort have always been our top priority.
With the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we understand the concerns you may have about coming to a medical facility. We want you to know that we have intensified our already rigorous protocols and precautions to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors, and staff.
As you return to our care, you can be sure that both Regional and Union are fully prepared with:
- a highly clean environment
- expert caregivers
- plenty of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- the latest medical equipment
We want everyone to feel confident that our new procedures will allow patients to once again seek the treatment needed without increased risks of COVID-19.”
Giving the Chamber exclusive information and updates, both Union and Regional have released videos from physicians and CEO Steve Holman (Union) and CEO Nathan Vooys (Regional).
- Union Health is expanding their ability to test sick patients through a newly opening downtown “Respiratory Clinic” where any employer can send employees with symptoms to be tested.
- Ivy Tech will serve as host for a COVID testing study being done through IUPUI Fairbanks School of Health. This is not open testing, participants are selected randomly, but will help us understand how expansive the virus is in our community.
The Chamber was also provided exclusive video updates from Union Health physicians and both CEOs Steve Holman (Union) and Nathan Vooys (Regional). Visit the Chamber’s YouTube Channel to learn more from these videos with timely updates and information from physicians on the front lines.
